Looking To Staff A Birthright Israel Trip With Sachlav: Israel On The House?
Staffing a Birthright Israel trip is a ton of fun, but also comes with a number of responsibilities. Ready to make a difference while sharing the amazing, once-in-a-lifetime experience of a Birthright Israel trip? Read on!
General Qualifications:
- At least 21 years of age 
- Israel experience beyond participation in a Birthright Israel Trip 
- Leadership skills and experience 
- Familiarity with Jewish life and tradition 
What’s the catch?
In addition to participating in the trip, you will have a number of responsibilities while staffing a trip. These include:
- Contacting participants before the trip to introduce yourself. 
- Creating excitement through the provided WhatsApp and Facebook Groups. 
- Arrive at the airport prior to the participants and check everyone in via the Birthright App 
- Ensure everyone arrives at the gate and boards the plane as a group. 
- Support the Tour Guide and/or other program staff in Israel. 
- Serve as a dugma or role model for the participants 
- Assist in group and discussion facilitation throughout the program 
- Ensure the program runs smoothly–everyone’s on the bus, etc. 
These positions are offered on a volunteer basis, however many program costs are included. Including:
- Round trip airfare from the departure airport 
- Israeli SIM card/cell phone plan (phone not included!). 
- Health Insurance. 
- Program activities, travel, admission fees, two meals a day and lodging. 
- Daily meal stipend for lunch. 
As a reminder, IsraelOnTheHouse does not cover or subsidise travel to/from the departure airport.
There is a possibility to extend your trip in Israel, should you desire to do so.
